Outerplates is a 1-4 Player Couch Co-Op Action Game where competing teams of astronauts have been sent to colonize recently discovered planets. In order to do so, the teams must compete to appease the native apex predator by cooking their favorite meals before they can finally plant their flag.Cook your way to the beast’s heart and expand your galactic empire!


My Role

Lead Producer

- Oversee all art, design, and tech of the game, from conception to implementation

- Establish and groom product backlog to guide SCRUM sprint goals

- Assist to track and ensure delivery of assets via SCRUM and Kanban

- Assemble task strike teams to help core team remain agile during development

- Organize and lead team meetings

- Oversee asset handoff to other departments

- Work with art director to establish and edit art bible

- Recruit and integrate junior developers for outsourced work

- Critique team work to align with standards set by art bible and game design document

- Develop and deliver art and design assets where needed (i.e. concept art, set dressing, trailer editing)

Art Contributions

At times where extra hands were needed, I would create assets for the team to keep other developers nimble in their own delivery process. I created concept art for the environment team to guide their sense of pro design, set dressing, and overall composition. I would also handle iterative set dressing while the prop team developed their assets to test their deliveries for doneness and reassess with the art director the harmony of the props being made.
